The Dom, at 4545m, is the highest mountain entirely within Swiss borders and the third highest in the Alps.  This means that every summer mountaineers from all over Europe look to scale its heights.  White and slender, its the peak which stands out most from all the 4000m summits in the Mischabel group and for location and breathtaking views over the Valais region, the Dom beats the other glacial peaks in the Alps hands down.  Without being technically difficult, its lack of cable car or other mechanical access brings a certain level of challenge, as the ascent begins low in the valley and a good level of acclimatisation is recommended .  Due to this, we suggest discovering the 4000m peaks of the Saas Fee valley with us prior to this trip.  For those of you who are looking for something different in the Alps, or who are looking towards summiting the Matterhorn, or wish to have a good time with friends, this is the perfect plan.  If you decide to come along, remember, you won't be disappointed by the 360 view from the Dom's summit.
