Every year hundreds of people dream of standing on the summit of Mont Blanc (4808m), the highest peak in the Alps.  If you want a chance to join them, you must be in good physical shape with some idea of how to use crampons, acclimatise well and have a good weather forecast for the two days of the summit attempt.  To help fulfil these requirements we offer a 5 day programme which will bring you up to speed on crampon technique and glacier travel, as well as allow for acclimatisation and an assessment of your abilities by doing different climbs in the Mont Blanc massif, while leaving us three days to climb Mont Blanc.  We'll stay in two different huts in order to save some energy and allow us a choice of strategy to ensure you get to the summit.

An ideal way to get experience, learn new techniques and discover new alpine peaks, culminating in having the highest chance of summiting.

Do you dare to climb the highest?

PROGRAMME

Day 1:  Rendezvous in Chamonix with a gear check at the agreed time in the accommodation.

Day 2:  Climb to the Albert Premier mountain hut.  Walk across the glacier to the area where we'll practice using crampons and ice-axes among the frozen crevasses.  From this impressive setting we'll be able to see Chardonnet Peak and other legendary alpine peaks.

Day 3:  Summit attempt of A. de le Tour.  We'll put into practice everything we learned in the previous day's workshops in this alpine ascent.

Day 4:  Go up in the Mont Blanc Tramway.  Access the T. Rousse hut via the Nid d'Aigle.

Day 5:  Reach the Goüter hut and make the summit attempt.

Day 6:  Descent to the Chamonix valley and farewells.
