If you're a mountaineer at heart, we think this peak is good training for a larger objective such as the Dent Blanche or the Oblegaberhorn via Arbengrat.  Its solitude and the absence of cable cars to get to the hut make its final ascent one for those who want to experience the Alps in their purest state.  A textbook piece of mountaineering with its approach to the Täschhütte hut, its long hike looking for the glacier in the dark, its snow ascent between crevasses to the Rimpfischsattle, its 55? snow slopes, and its final rocky ridge where spectacular views of Monte Rosa, the Mischabel massif, Zinal and Weisshorn abound.
